Homemade Fajita Seasoning

What You Need:

  • 2 Tablespoons Corn Starch
  • 4 teaspoons Chili Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

What You Need To Do:

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a container with a tight fitting lid, (I like using small Mason Jars or small tupperware).
  2. SHAKE until combined!

When I make plain vegan fajitas, I usually use EVOO first, with some garlic, and a little seasoning.  Then saute bell peppers, onions and mushrooms - plus a little more seasoning on top.  I also add red pepper flakes, because I love the extra heat!

You can also use about half of the recipe with 1 to 1-1/4 pounds of chicken, I just cut it up and roll it around in the seasoning.  You can also drizzle two packets of Liquid Bouillon over the top of the chicken, and then toss to coat, if you would like.

When I make chicken fajitas, I first add EVOO, saute garlic, and then add the chicken on over medium heat, constantly turning.  When chicken is about halfway cooked, add peppers, onions and mushrooms and keep covered; stirring frequently until done!
